Oct 12: The ‘Green Day’ was celebrated on 6th September at St. Michael’s Convent High School. Green- the colour of life, renewal, nature and energy is associated with growth of harmony, freshness, safety and fertility.
It was a day of ensuring and deepening of bond with the nature. The presence of Sr. Assumpta, the Corporate Manager and Sr. Veronita the counsellor elevated the day, promised the safety for the nature by pouring water to the plants. Everyone dressed in green moved towards the tree to tie Rakhi whispering and taking a pledge to save the nature and protect the trees. The days programme was an awakening one to come out from a comfort zone and join hands to protect the environment.
