Jan 30: On January 26, 2025, Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal, Salcete Goa celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Mr. Alexio Da Costa Ex-Member Secretary, GFDC and Secretary, Goa Rehabilitation Board was the Chief Guest and Mr. Agnelo Fernandes, Vice President of PTA was the Special Invitee for the function. The program began with a warm welcome to the Guests escorted by the school band, whose vibrant tunes set the tone for the day.

The event commenced with the soulful rendition of the Bethany Anthem, fostering a sense of unity and pride among all attendees. This was followed by the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, which filled the air with patriotism.

The march past by the four houses—Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow—was a grand spectacle. The synchronized steps of the students reflected their discipline and dedication. A prayer dance, performed by students, added a serene and spiritual touch to the program, followed by a heartfelt prayer service, seeking blessings for the nation's peace and prosperity.

The theme of unity in diversity was beautifully portrayed through a vibrant dance performance showcasing India's rich cultural heritage.

The prize distribution ceremony recognized and honored students for their outstanding achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. The Headmistress addressed the gathering, applauding the efforts of students and staff in organizing the event and emphasizing the importance of values and discipline.
The Chief Guest, in an inspiring speech, encouraged students to contribute to the nation's progress and uphold its democratic ideals. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who made the event a success.

The most awaited moment arrived when the Red House was declared the winner of the Best Marching House award, adding to the excitement and joy of the day. The celebration ended with a sense of pride and commitment to the nation, leaving everyone inspired and motivated.
