Nov 07: On 26 of October 2018, Mary Mount School, Aizawl inaugurated its 50th year. The splendid inaugural ceremony began with a thanks giving Eucharistic celebration offered by Fr. James Zodinliana, Secretary to Bishop of Aizawl who instilled in students the significance of Jubilee to be practiced in the course of the year.

The function was blessed with the presence of the Chief Guest Mr. R. Lalthanmawia SDEO of Aizawl South, the Guest of Honour, and Sr. Edleburgh Co-coordinator for Education and Councillor to Provincial Superior, North-East Province.

The programme began with the hoisting of Golden Jubilee Flag, releasing 50 balloons, lighting of diya and 50 candles carried by students to form symbol of 50 Golden years.

As a tribute to the glorious past of the institution, students staged cultural dances, acts and songs.

The Chief Guest addressed the function to recall and share about the marvelous ways in which the school has fulfilled its mission in imparting education, moral and spiritual values, and discipline to help leaders who will bring about a culture of peace and love which our society and country needs today.
