August 30: With great enthusiasm, the students of Holly Cross Convent School Dharmanagar, Tripura participated in "Cultural Week", which was held from Monday August 19th to Wednesday August 21st 2019. The whole event was proven to be a huge success, with a fantastic effort from all students.
The children participated in a variety of activities throughout the week to appreciate the contribution of different cultures, values and beliefs to their lives. It was wonderful to see the array of cultures coming together and made us appreciate how lucky we are in our school to have such a wealth of diverse backgrounds.
The event was commenced with an extravaganza inauguration ceremony, and with a motivating welcome from our respected Principal, Sr Pushpa. Special guest Rev. Fr. Davis CSC the Principal of Holy Cross Convent School, Panisagar was amazed by the efforts from our students and advised the student community to explore their God given talents.
Competitions like hand writing, recitation, Elocution, Extempore, debate, drawing, solo song, group song, solo dance, group dance and fancy dress were a feast to the eyes of the beholder. A special recognition must be made to the Blue House who gave a tremendous overall performance. The cultural week was closed by our Principal Sr Pushpa after School Pupil Leader entrusted the second best parade CUP awarded by Government of Tripura on 73rd Independence Day.
