Nov 14: There is a saying, “There’s no education quite like the lessons of travel”. With the initiation and support of the Principal Sr Philomene Saldanha, Vice Principal Sr Lourdes and the staff, the five days UAE educational tour was organized for the students. Each day was brimming with new experiences. It was the time to develop our curiosity, creativity and innovative. Various places of attractions in Dubai like Burj Khalifa which soars 828m up and students enjoyed the highest view of Dubai. From a huge Dubai Frame we could view best of both old and new Dubai at a height of 150m. St Mary’s Church, the biggest Parish in Dubai was a splendid experience, here we were given blessings by the Parish Priest of the church and briefed us about the ceremonies conducted for the parishioners and the Grand mosque in Abu Dhabi has an awesome and astounding architecture which is built in an Islamic style. We had a thrilling experience at Dubai Aquarium and under water zoo where we enjoyed seeing the world’s largest suspended aquarium holding 10 million liters of sea water and a home to many species of marine animals. Dhow cruise gave us an opportunity to have dinner while on the move and took us through the Dubai creek. Motion gate, a Hollywood themed areas dedicated to Sony pictures, DreamWorks and more which left us with enthralling emotions. Students got into many themed activities based on creating movies. In Bollywood Theme park and Ferrari world the students enjoyed the various marvelous rides specially the gigantic roller coaster with the highest speed cars and having highest loops in the world. Not to forget the Desert Safari where we enjoyed the zigzag rides on sand dunes. Students got a chance to experience a cultural exchange connecting with people and places along with a traditional lunch. Indeed this educational tour fostered independence, discipline, being well aware of the world at large and in depth to respect fellow humans. It also gave the students an opportunity to come out of their comfort zone and thereby initiate global networking.
