Jan 02: “Cinemas is a language that speaks about the future although the stories are from the past.
Realising the mammoth importance of cinema in promoting a good value system Smile Foundation, in association with the S.H.C.S, hosted a school version of the Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFFCY) spanning two days on 30 and 31 October 2019.
Invitees also included children of neighborhood schools. The Ruby Jubille Auditorium replicated the ambience of a theater as the Principal Sister Reshmi and Mr Vineet Marwaha, Assistant Director, Smile Foundation inaugurated the Film Festival. A highly receptive and appreciative audience, comprising of the students from V to X standard enjoyed a visual treat of watching award winning movies of International repute.
Gems from the cinematic world like ‘I Am Kalam’, ‘Tiffin Box’ etc drew thunderous applause. Simultaneously nuggets of wisdom, golden virtues and time-tested values were also conveyed in a subtle manner. A lively interactive session with the representatives of the Smile Foundation cemented the learning.
The Film Festival was a grand success, with all the intending objectives achieved.
