Feb 11: The vibrant staff of St. Raymond School, Vamanjoor was well prepared when the coronavirus pandemic quickly ended in-class instruction during the 2019-2020 school year. Students effortlessly shifted into the virtual learning environment using computers or cell phones to receive knowledge through online resources to complete their studies. Along with the academic studies the students participated enthusiastically and shared their creativity, ingenuity and engaged themselves in various competitions, hosted by the school faculty and staff. The list of competitions are as follows: Fancy dress, Storytelling, Folk dance, Elocution, Action songs, Folk songs and making of Science model. Various activities were also held on festivals and significant days of India. The students participated in "Tabaco Free" and “Fit India Week” program, to encourage and inspire them to live fit and a healthy life-style. This program was held in December 12th – 17th, brought awareness among all students, the safety measures to be followed during the pandemic times.
Thus, the outbreak of COVID-19 has taught all of us that change is inevitable. It has worked as a catalyst for the educational institutions to grow and opt for platforms with technologies, which have not been used before as we carried out educational activities during the pandemic situation.
