Feb 27: Sacred Hearts’ Higher Primary English Medium School, Kulshekar hosted an overnight camp for our Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls on 23rd and 24th of February. All the wings actively participated in all the activities conducted for the day like cooking without fire, games, camp fire, treasure hunt, cultural programme, memory game and fun games.
The day’s first activity cooking without fire added the spirit of interest and boosted their team spirit. Their joys were doubled while sharing the cooked items with other groups. Guide trainer Mrs Pavithra conducted a session on signs, signals and whistle. Students attentively followed all the symbols and instructions. Camp fire was inaugurated by the superior of Santa Cruz Convent Sr Reena Juliet and wished everyone success and appreciated their talents exhibited by them through the cultural programme.
Next day began with BP six exercises. Inspection was done to check the neatness of their corners. Students got ready with their complete uniform for the flag hoisting. Headmistress Sr Anitha wished everyone and instructed them about hike and treasure hunt. All the groups enthusiastically participated in treasure hunt following the symbols and signs. Evaluation was done. PT Teacher Mrs Margarate conducted meaningful session on knots, first aid along with the patrol leaders. Tr Celine taught creative craft activity to the cubs and Bulbuls. The Headmistress honoured the trainee teachers of our school Mrs Vishitha, Mrs Pavithra, Mrs Sharal and Mrs Rajitha with certificates. The prizes were distributed to the groups who scored highest points in the camp.
The camp day came to a conclusion with the lowering of the flag.
