The new academic session 2024-25 at Bethany Convent School, Naini, Prayagraj, commenced with great enthusiasm and anticipation. The day was marked by a series of events, including a special assembly and the Vidyaarambh ceremony for newly admitted nursery students, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
The school gathered in the auditorium for a soulful prayer for a successful academic year.
Principal Sr. Dr Shamitha delivered an inspiring welcome address and recounted the achievements of the previous year and outlined the goals and expectations for the new session by emphasising on the importance of holistic education, which includes academic excellence, moral values, and extracurricular activities. The assembly was graced by the presence of Father Francis Sebastian, who spoke about the transformative power of education and encouraged students to embrace learning with enthusiasm and dedication.
A significant highlight of the day was the Vidhyaarambh ceremony for the newly admitted nursery students. The ceremony was attended by the young students and their parents, marking their formal initiation into the world of education.
Father Francis Sebastian and Principal Sr. Shamitha jointly performed the Vidyaarambh rituals, which included lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering prayers for wisdom and knowledge. A beautiful cultural program by the students of LGK to I std subdued the heart of the audience present. The students received a traditional tilak on their foreheads, symbolizing an auspicious start. Parents participated in a symbolic writing exercise with their children, underscoring the collaborative effort in the children's educational journey.
The special assembly and Vidyaarambh ceremony not only welcomed the youngest members of the school community but also reinforced the values and mission of the school. With a clear vision and a supportive environment, the school is well-prepared for a year of growth, learning, and achievements.
