June 10: At the beginning of the academic year 2024-25, we, the Josephites of K.R. Nagar and St. Rita Primary School, Dornahalli, had the privilege of participating in an enlightening orientation programme led by Dr. Anthony Paul Raj, the Principal of Shri Chaya Devi College of Education, Mysore. The session was both thought-provoking and engaging, offering deep insights into the qualities of a good teacher, the essential role of a teacher, and the characteristics necessary for effective teaching.
Dr. Anthony Paul Raj C the resource of the day emphasized the importance of promoting the all-around development of students. He highlighted the need for dedication to teaching, encouraging us to commit fully to our profession. Moreover, he stressed the significance of self-development, urging us to continually improve ourselves to become exemplary educators. Impartiality towards all students was another key point, reminding us of the importance of treating every student fairly and equally.
The experience was pleasant and highly informative. He also discussed the critical role teachers play in society, emphasizing that we must be well-mannered and respectful as our behaviour greatly influences our students. He underlined the responsibility we have in shaping the future of our students, advocating for hard work and unwavering commitment.
At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Raj provided practical tips on how to be effective teachers and nurture our students growth. His advice was invaluable, offering clear guidance that we could immediately implement in our teaching practices. We express our gratitude to our management for organizing such a valuable programme, which has left us inspired and better prepared for the new academic year.
