Oct 03: Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated on October 2nd at Bethany English Medium Higher Primary School, Kilpady, honoring Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of the Indian Independence movement. This day is also observed as the International Day of Non-Violence.
The lighting of the lamp is a symbolic gesture, representing the light of truth, knowledge, and hope that Gandhi brought to the world. The headmistress and staff lit the lamp and showered flowers in tribute to Gandhiji.
Students from the 1st and 3rd standards, along with Scouts and Guides, conducted cultural programs showcasing Gandhiji's life and teachings. Speeches and dances were performed beautifully.
