Dec 06: The Diamond Jubilee of Jyothi High School Ajekar was celebrated on 29th November 2024 at 5 pm in the school premises. Sr. Lilly Pereira the Provincial Superior presided over this grand finale of the jubilee celebration. In her presidential address she recounted the blessings of the institution through the vision of RFC Mascarenhas who brought the light of knowledge to the poor and downtrodden through the dedicated service of Bethany sisters. Among the many guests of honour was BEO of Karkal Taluk T. Baskara, Manjunath Nayak the principle District and Session Judge Shimoga, who is also an Alumni of the school, Dr. Ullas Kamath Dean of Melaka Medical College Manipal campus,an Alumni and Jayaprakash Pai founder and CEO of WMUINDIA PVT. Limited who are also Alumni and others. Every one of the guests exalted the institution for the quality education given at a time when there were no high schools in the vicinity. Many of the old students who have contributed to the school up building were honoured as well as the students who have brought laurels to the institution through games specially handball at the state level. The Alumni of Jyothi High school were a great blessing to celebrate this Diamond Jubilee who came together and contributed a large share to the celebration. As a memory of this celebration school website was inaugurated which was a contribution by the Alumni. The students of the school exhibited their talents through a variety of colourful cultural programme. Sr. Reena B.S. the correspondent of the school welcomed the dignitaries. Sr. Lisa the Headmistress proposed vote of thanks. This was followed by a Tulu Drama Astami which was watched and witnessed by a huge gathering of people at the campus.
