The Art Exhibition and Annual Day celebration at Bethany Convent High School this year took an exciting, vibrant turn with the theme "Unfold the Goan Rhythm". The event, held on 18th December 2024, showcased the rich culture, traditions, and the rhythmic essence of Goa through an amalgamation of artistic expression, performances, and educational presentations. The theme was carefully chosen to celebrate Goa's rich cultural heritage, which blends music, dance, and art in a unique rhythm that has captivated both locals and visitors alike.

Shri. Bhagirath Shetye Chairman of Goa Board of Sec. and Hr. Sec. Education graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the function. Shri. Govind B. Parvatkar the Chairman of Goa Education Development Corporation was the Guest of Honour. The event was presided over by Mr. Cruz Silva, MLA for the Velim Constituency. Other special invitees were Shri Kalidas Satardekar-President of All Goa Art Masters Association, Shri Deepak Gaad-Ex-Art Teacher of D.Ed., Shri Aleixo F. Da Costa-Ex-Member Secretary, GFDC Secretary, Goa Rehabilitation Board, Shri Antonio P. Diniz- Ex-Town Planner, Govt. of Goa, and Rev.Fr. Damaciano Carvalho- Parish Priest of St. Joseph Church, Sao Jose de Areal.

The Chief Guest, Shri Bhagirath Shetye, officially inaugurated the Art Exhibition. It was a dazzling array of creativity, with works presented by students from all grade levels. The exhibition displayed stunning paintings, sketches on canvas and sculptures. The Art Exhibition also included traditional sports to the modern games, the event embodied the school's commitment to fostering physical fitness, teamwork, and cultural pride. Projects and models from the NSQF and Social Science section were also displayed. The students' enthusiasm and participation made it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

In addition to acknowledging student accomplishments, Bethany Convent High School's prize distribution and scholarship program inspires students to keep aiming for greatness in all facets of their lives. The students received rewards for their outstanding performance in various areas. These awards honoured both academic excellence and extra-curricular accomplishments.

The Annual Day program was an energetic and artistic showcase of Goan rhythms, featuring a variety of performances that highlighted Goa’s cultural diversity. A theatrical skit, which was part of the event, explored Goa’s vibrant festivals, folk dances like Kharvi, Dulpodam, Mussel khel, skit, street play, mime, musical show etc. The warmth and rhythm that characterize Goan life were aptly portrayed by the acting troupe's energetic enactments. The school's former pupils gave a fantastic dance performance. In addition to reflecting the school's dedication to encouraging students' creativity, the theme, "Unfold the Goan Rhythm," paid homage to the ageless essence of Goa. The students demonstrated exceptional artistic talent and understanding of Goa’s cultural vibrancy, leaving an indelible impression on all who attended. It beautifully encapsulated the spirit of Goa and brought the community together to celebrate its rhythms through art, dance, and music.
