Jan 16:The Annual Sports Day - ‘Abhinav Sahririkam’ for the student of classes Nursery to VIII of Bethany Convent School, Tora, Bargarh was  held  on 16th  January  2017. It began with the Guard of Honour to the Chief Guest Mr Vincent P. Ekka the Sub Collector of the Bargarh. The guests of honour were Sr Wilberta, the former President of Bethany Educational Society and Sr Shaila BS. the Corporate Manager of Bethany Educational Society, Eastern Province. They were escorted by Sr Subhasini the Principal and Sr Jasmitha the Vice Principal. After a prayer dance and words of welcome, the Chief Guest hoisted the school flag. Thereafter the Sports Torch was lit and the chief Guest declared the Sports Day open conveying his the best wishes.  All Students from class Nursery to VIII participated in various sports events and performed beautiful drills which were eye capturing and interesting. All the drill were colourful, attractive and entertaining.

Thereafter the Chief Guest Mr Vincent P. Ekka, the Sub-Collector of Bargarh  and Sr Shaila, the Corporate Manager of Bethany Educational Society of Eastern Province gave away the prizes to the winners and awarded individual Championships too. The programme ended with vote of thanks. There was whole hearted participation and sportsmanship spirit throughout the day among the participants. The Annual Sports Day was closed at 12. am by singing  the National Anthem.
