Aug 22: On 22nd August we had Blue Day celebrations in St Joseph's High School, K R Nagar. The members of the Social Science Club with the collaboration of their Social Science teachers, Mrs Prashati, Mrs Veena and Miss Smitha organized the Blue Day programme. The celebrations began with a prayer and a welcome speech, after which the chief guest Sr Marydivya, Headmistress of St Joseph Kannada Primary School, Sr Simon, Correspondent and Superior and Sr Betty, the Headmistress of the school were invited to light the symbol of the volcano which after being lit erupted just like a real volcano. It was indeed a beautiful scene which showed the creativity of the students. The students presented variety of items like skit on Child Labour, Jagu grahak Jagu and a Mock Parliament was emanated. There were charts prepared on famous personalities like Jesus Christ, Presidents and Prime Ministers and famous historical monuments. The whole programme was very informative and enriching. It was wonderful to see our students come on to the stage and display their talents and creativity. In the end the Chief Guest, Sr Marydivya spoke words of encouragement to the students to excel in all that they do, in school and to remain connected with their teachers, with whose collaboration they can reach to a greater heights. The Headmistress congratulated the students for putting up a great show and for working hard to organize the programme. She also thanked the teachers for extending their full support and co-operation to the students. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks and prize distribution. The winners of the Science Skit and the winners of the Science Seminar were awarded with the prizes. It was a wonderful programe.
