Sep 29: The feast of St Therese our Patroness was celebrated in pomp and grandeur on the 27 September 2017 at St Theresa’s School, Bendur, Mangaluru. Every child brought offertory gift during the solemn Eucharistic celebration in the form of fruits and biscuits. All the items were distributed to the patients of the Wenlock, Lady Goshen and Father Muller Hospitals.
30 Children along with Sisters, teachers and PTA members went to distribute the generous offerings. A total number of 1050 patients and 40 children were given biscuits and fruits. It was a satisfying experience for the children and joyous moment for the receivers.
Prior to this, 8 day long Novena prayer was held in the school with due preparation. The HS and Pry School both had their assembly separately. The students highlighted the virtues of St Therese through dance and skits very creatively.
Various competitions were conducted for students of all classes like drawing, painting, poetry writing, essay writing, colouring the sayings of St Therese etc. A good number of students bagged exciting prizes.
Cakes and sweets were distributed to the students. Teachers and a few PTA volunteers were served delicious meal to mark the day.
