Oct 30: Like the life principle of St Mother Teresa, We may not be able to help all, but all of us can help at least one, is religiously followed at Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana. The ‘Joy of Giving’ week was celebrated wherein each student contributed generously towards the cause of charity. As a part of the Social Awareness Activity, students were sensitized to be aware of the needs of our lesser brethren and celebrate the festival of Diwali in the true spirit of sharing. The students were motivated to give few articles from the excessive possessions and the spillover they have. They were encouraged to express few words of appreciation to someone who is lonely or discouraged and add happiness in their lives.
The students contributed in kind and cash with an open heart which amounted to lakhs. The highest money contribution was made by class XI Com A, under the leadership of Mrs Pankil Priya, the class teacher. Medhans Oswal of IX E showed his generosity by contributing the highest amount.
