The First Convention of Bethany Champions was held on November 5th at Jyothi School campus, Kacharakanahalli, Bangalore. Bethany Champions from 16 Colleges and High Schools of the Province along with their animators participated in the event which was first of its kind. In her keynote address Sr Bonita, the Provincial Superior called on the Champions to develop their full potential in order to be leaders who will make a difference in the society. Rev Fr George Vincent Lobo, Regional Director of Commission for interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism and Small Christian Communities officiated the Eucharistic celebration. He enlightened the champions on leadership and career guidance. Mrs Ida Margaret D’Cunha, the Proprietor of Prima Florence Enterprises gave tips on cultivating excellence in whatever one does. Sr Shalini gave PowerPoint presentation on aims and objectives of Bethany Champions and Sr Dona Therese on the need for inspiring vocations to Bethany. Sr Winnifred and Mr Anthonappa compered the programme of the day. In the evening the cultural programme included value based items presented by the champions. It was a wonderful occasion for interaction and communion and to arrive at a deeper understanding of the mission of Bethany Champions. Hats off to Sr Susan the Coordinator of Education of the Province and Sr Sharlet Rodrigues, the Coordinator for Bethany Champions who planned the details of the programme.
