Dec 18: November 30th was a red letter day for the Raymondians of Chempanoda. Two of the rarest of rare functions were combined on that day at Msgr Raymond Memorial School.
Classes I to V had their talent day in the morning and grandparents day in the afternoon. This auspicious day provided ample opportunities to display their talents in creative crafts, weaving and decorative items.
The inauguration of the programme was done jointly by our local manager Sr Sandhya, Principal Sr Silvy Augustine, Mrs Semily teacher, Milta Irene Manoj, L.P section leader and Emilda Johns, speaker. The function generated a festive mood in the school and everyone enjoyed it to the brim.
The grandparent’s day was inaugurated by Mrs Chinnamma George Kattakkayam whose words resounded in the school for the last 15 years in various classes. The grandparents who had been part of us from initial days of the school onwards were honored and applauded for their constant support and care.
The function was made colourful by variety entertainment by the L P students. The programme was marked by games for grandparents and speech competition for them as well.
The day was closed with prize distribution. All returned home with sweet memories and relaxed minds.
