Aug 14: Vanamahotsava, a festival of trees was celebrated on July 26th at Sacred Hearts’ High School, Kulshekar. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in our students towards safe guarding trees and forests.
All the students from Pre-KG to VII Std were present. The Tiny tots of the KG section came with green dress and they attracted every eye.
The programme began with the prayer service highlighting the gifts of the nature. SPL Meghana Pillai welcomed the Chief Guest Mr Sanjyothi Sheka, the Vice-President of the PTA. A Sapling was gifted to him. Melanie Saldanha of Std VII highlighted the importance of the day. Many students exhibited the posters and spoke about the importance of trees. The message was spread "Each one Plant one'. A sapling was planted by the chief guest and a motivational speech was given by him to take care of plants. Headmistress Sr Lavita proposed the vote of thanks.
