Aug 25: The Catholic Association of South Canara (CASK) conducted a Third session on teacher enrichment programme on 18 August 2018 at Sahodaya.

The programme commenced at 10.00 am with a Prayer song which helped the gathering to get into the atmosphere of prayer. Mrs. Patsy Lobo accorded a warm welcome to all the participants.

The first session was on the topic “Challenges faced by the teachers and how to overcome it” by Sir Manoj Fernandes the lecturer of business administration, St. Aloysius College. The highlights of his talk were:
•    Change perception of children towards teachers.
•    Balance between professional and personal life.
•    Teaching is not a profession it’s a vocation.
•    Involve the students in the teaching.
•    Admire in public, criticise in private.

Later Miss Natasha conducted warm up exercises. Mrs Geetha Pereira continued the session on the topic ‘plastic in our home” She stressed on the use and misuse of plastic and the ill effects of using it. Mr Anand Pereira accompanied us to the world of animals and birds with his talk on “Biodiversity of Western Ghats”. The sessions were inspiring. We enjoyed the day and left the venue with enriched knowledge from the day’s session.
