Dec 12: November 8th, 2022 is a red lettered day to Bethany School, Guwahati as the School fraternity witnessed the Inaugural Ceremony of Platinum Jubilee of Bethany Educational Society with pomp and show. The beautiful campus was decorated to mark the historic event and commemorated the scaling achievement of the society in the cause of education.
The programme began with the welcome gesture of the arrival of the guests to the tone of the school band. Sr Benedicta Aranha, the Provincial Superior and the Corporate Manager, Bethany Educational Society Guwahati Unit was the President of the programme accompanied by the Guests of Honour – Sr Joy BS, Sr Edleburgh BS, Sr Noeline BS the former Corporate Managers, Sr Janet BS, the Education Coordinator of the Province, the Provincial Councillors and the Province Procurator, Sr Sapna the Principal all the guests were accompanied with the band. The Jubilee Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest after which 75 balloons were released in the air marking a great significance of reaching the heights.
The Ceremonial Lamp was lit by the guests and the presence of God was sought. The picture frame of the Founder was garlanded paying respect and tribute. Sr Janet BS, the Education Coordinator welcomed the guests and the gathering wherein they were welcomed with an Assamese Japi, Gamosa and a sapling. The students depicted a beautiful dance drama on the origin and growth of the Bethany Educational Society. Sr Joy BS, the Former Secretary, Bethany Educational Society spoke on the occasion. Sr Benedicta Aranha, gave her Presidential Address. Sr Sapna, the Principal proposed the Vote of thanks. The programme left beautiful memories to be in the annals of the history of the School under Bethany Educational society.
