Holy Family English Medium High School is the creation of the loving hearts and creative minds of Bethany Sisters, blessed and guided by the Divine power of God. Indeed if the Lord does not build the house, in vain do its builders labour (Ps 127).

Bajpe, in Dakshina Kannada is well known to all as the International Airport is situated here. It is the town with Institution like schools, colleges and hospitals. 29th May 2009 was a memorable day for Bethany and in particular for Holy Family School to start an English Medium High School. It was the dream of Sr Christella BS the then Superior and Correspondent of Holy Family Kannada Medium High School. She toiled hard and left no stone unturned to get the permission from the Management and the Educational Department to get it done in the campus of Holy Family Kannada Medium High.

Sr. Neeta BS was appointed as the first Headmistress. 27 students were admitted to VIII Std. in the first year. In the year 2010, Sr Sagaya succeeded Sr Neeta. On 4th January 2011 the new block of the building was inaugurated by Sr. Mariette the then Provincial Superior and blessed by Rev. Fr Mathias Pereira the Parish Priest of St Joseph’s Church, Bajpe. In that year, Sr Sybil was appointed as the Headmistress and she laboured selflessly. During her tenure the first batch of 10thStdstudents secured 100% in SSLC exam (2012-2013). It was indeed a joyful event and a worthy reward for the hard labour.

The school is progressing from its inception till today in all spheres like academic studies, sports and cultural activities. It has the spacious class rooms, library, laboratory and computer lab, and playground. Students participate at the zonal and taluk level in various events. Students are given moral and value based education. Retreats and seminars are conducted for their spiritual growth. The number of students gradually and steadily increased. Regular assemblies are conducted, national festivals are celebrated. Students are given opportunities to display their talents.

In 2013, Sr Patrina BS was appointed as the new Headmistress and rendered her services for three years. Her dedication along with her Staff brought 100% in SSLC exam in 2015-2016. Selma Ishal Rodrigues was the top scorer with 606 marks. In June 2016 Sr. Wilma BS has taken over as the Headmistress who is doing her best to take school to greater heights. At present the school student strength is 126 students, seven teaching staff and two non-teaching staff. We remain grateful to Bethany Educational Society, our benefactors and well-wishers who support us in our endeavours.
