On 01.06.2017 there was a small beginning of Bethany Primary School Bajpe Mangalore, D.K. The people of the locality expressed their desire to the Management of the Bethany Educational Society that there be an English Medium School for their children to be educated. In answer to their request, the Bethany Primary School came into existence and it is to VII Std under the patronage of Mary, Martha and Lazarus, the home loved by Jesus.
Sr M Lolita Pereira BS, the Local Superior, and Sr Marie Lyta BS, the Correspondent worked hand in hand to do the needful in a short period. Sr M Daina Janet Pais BS was appointed as the first Headmistress.
The School which began with 53 students is grown to 350 in the year 2020.There are13 teaching and 03 non-teaching staff. Presently, Sr M Pramila Mascarenhas BS serves as the Headmistress; she works strenuously towards the welfare of the students and contributes her best in imparting the vision, goal and core values of BES. Sr M Sharal BS as the Correspondent motivated the staff and students towards education for fullness of life.
The BES Management provides opportunities for staff to develop their skills through orientation programmes and timely evaluations. The school caters to all round development of students and makes provision for Science models, sports, games, cultural programmes, inter school competitions, writing articles, poems etc. The School also focuses on cleanliness, manual work, respect for life, religion, culture and health care. Moral and spiritual values are also promoted through school assemblies, Dhyana, Moral Science classes, celebration of National and Religious festivals.
The parents co-operate with the educational programmes of the school. Through this constant support the School is growing in heights. Thanks to the BES President, Secretary, Local Manager and the Education Coordinator for their constant support, guidance and encouragement to carry forward the Vision of RFC Mascarenhas the Founder of the Bethany Educational Society.
