Vamanjoor is eight kilometres away from the city of Mangalore. Bethany Educational Society ® Mangalore of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany heeding to the desire of the locals started St Raymond’s Degree College at Vamanjoor in 2009. The students who avail education here are the rural poor. Most of them are those who do not get admissions to Colleges in the city owning to their economic conditions.

St. Raymond’s College has dedicated faculty who has consistently worked against all odds to bring laurels to the institution. While most of the faculty is young and bounding with energy, there are enough stalwarts around to guide them in the right directions. SRC believes in a hands-on approach to education and therefore the entire faculty gives personal attention to each student through mentoring and counselling. There are 20 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching Staff.
