Jyothi Pre University College came into existence on 9th June 2010 and now it has stepped into 7th year at Ajekar, Karkala Taluk, Udupi District with Sr Sadhana as the first Principal. This College plays a vital role in catering to all-round development and welfare of the students of backward classes and in the fulfilment of the vision, goal and core values of Bethany Educational Society. It has the success of bringing 100% results in all the past years. The NSS unit is very active and undertakes lot of activities during the year. 7 days camp in the villages is an annual feature.
The College has 6 teaching and 1 non-teaching faculty. Sr Sagaya Selvi BS serves as a Principal and Sr Roshel BS as the Correspondent. The strength of the College for the current year is 44. The College caters to the rural poor and marginalized of the locality and from far of villages.
The students excel in sports as well. The students have won at the State level in the following events like, Kabaddi - Boys & Girls, Handball - Boys and Girls, Kho- Kho - Boys and Yoga.
