St Joseph’s Convent Punjabi High School Bathinda was established in 1972 and is administered by the Bethany Educational Society Mangalore a Christian Religious Minority Institution. The Bethany Educational Society is registered under the Society’s Registration Act XXI of 1890 No. 17 of 1948-49.

The school was established mainly for the education of the poor and marginalized in fulfilling the charism of our Founder the Servant of God Raymond FC Mascarenhas namely “Love for all especially the poor and marginalized with the special emphasis of the education of the girl child”. The aim of the school is to develop the whole personality (body, mind and spirit) of the student in an environment of freedom and personal responsibility. The school is affiliated to the Punjab School Educational Board.
 
Though the school caters to the children of the lower section of the society it can boast of providing best of facilities to the children. Some of them are, fee concession, scholarship, water, electricity, washrooms, computers, value education, good furniture, well qualified teachers, competitions, etc. The school is also proud of students showcasing their talents and skills not only in the school but also outside the school competing with students of other schools and bringing honour and glory to our Institution.
Besides the extra co-curricular activities the institution has also achieved good academic results every year with 100%.At present the school contents the enrolment of 566 students. Our Institution can be truly proud to see the progress achieving glory and height right from the time of its establishment till date fulfilling the mandate of spreading the Gospel and carrying forward the charism of our Founder.
