Shishuvihar English Hr Pry School is situated in Chittapur a town and Taluk in Kalaburgi District in the State of Karnataka, It is known for polished stones and toordal.

Under the Management of Bethany Educational Society, the Bethany Sisters were already imparting Education at Chittapur since 1972 and in the year 1983, the Shishuvihar Kan Hr. Pry School got the permanent recognition and grant from the Department for having the strength of 500 students. Over the decades, the School has produced many reputed citizens with remarkable achievement in building up of a better society.

Owing to the rising demand of the parents and the pressure of the local people, to start English Medium School, the Management of Bethany Educational Society established Shishuvihar English Medium School, while Sr Juliana Mary was the Headmistress. In the year 2006-07, the Department gave permission to start KG as well Std VI and VII. The humble beginning of the Pre-School was supported by the well wishers and day, by day the number of students got increased. Later, in the year - 2016-17, we obtained permission from the Department to begin class Std I-V.

The tiny seed which was sown has become a mighty tree. The Shishuvihar School which was begun with 8 students has seen a rapid growth. At present, there are 900 students from KG to Std VII. The dedicated staff, work hard for the all round development of the students. Through various curricular and extracurricular activities, students are enabled to develop their capacity and excel in all areas of life.

The students are provided with opportunities to participate in Sports, Science Exhibitions and other competitions at Taluk, District and State level too. The Institution not only promotes intellectual growth but also instils spiritual values, take love and respect for life, nature and the nation by celebrating and keeping up days of importance like national festivals, vanamahostava day, awareness day, girl child day, road safety day etc. Though Chittapur is dry and has humid terrain, life and values kindled by the School never die; they bloom and spread the fragrance all over.
