Oct 3:Inception of Rainbow is enrolled as a landmark in Theresian History. It was an initiative taken to actualize Father Founder’s dream to raise rural poor, marginalized and girls to an equal social and economic platform by providing them education. Over the years it has been growing and achieving accolades for the curricular and co-curricular activities Presently it is imparting education to 215 students, who hail from families below poverty line, backward and rural poor, above all, children from slums. It has been gaining recognition not only on local, but also administrative level, because of its unique feature of accommodating, those who are in utmost need of attention from society. The students are treated at – par with the other regular Students of Theresian School. The performance of the Students to achieve Fullness of Life Speaks for itself. This year for the first time under the able leadership of Sr. Ophilia Lobo the Principal, Students staged a program on Independence Day leaving the audience Spell- bound. Ironically those who long for Independence brought forth the meaning and importance to be free. On 25 August 2018 the Rainbow School Children exhibited their talent by a Colorful Program through Prayer Dance, Group Song, meaning Skit and Mesmerizing Mime. The show was well prepared and organized as the school administration and teachers took great effort to make it worth the occasion. Presence of ADC Karnal Mr. Nishant Yadav the Chief Guest and Mr. Balwinder Brar MC the Guest of the honour doubled the joy. The chief Guest in his message appreciated the Bethany Congregation for taking up such a challenging task and reaching out to the downtrodden segment of society. Both the guests encouraged the school authorities, teachers and students to march forth with still renewed zeal of compassion and forbearance. The journey from Ignorance to Enlightenment has already begun and we look forward to more and more joining the same in different capacities.
