Nov 16: Bethany English Medium Higher Primary School, Mulki celebrated the Festival of Lights - Deepavali with great enthusiasm. Deepavali is a celebration of triumph of good over evil, victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair. The school auditorium was decorated with colorful Rangoli, flowers and diyas with colors and glitter.
The programme began with the lighting of the Deepa by the Headmistress Sr Rita Sharal, along with teachers and class representatives.
To bring in the ambience of celebration and enjoy the wonderful celebration of Deepavali, the students of class I & II sang a melodious song in Kannada which meant “light a lamp and pass on the light.”
The gathering was gracefully welcomed by the students through a mesmerizing dance performance.
A genial welcome was given by Shahzor of class I. The significance of the day was expressed by Sinchana of class II.
Our Headmistress Sister Rita Sharal in her message expressed the importance of Deepavali and wished the students and staff with endless joy, health and wealth forever.
The tiny tots of KG and students of class I & II showcased the spirit of Deepavali through a scintillating dance performance which added much exuberance and brought great joy to the audience.
