June 10: World Environment day provides an opportunity for us to reflect on the impact of our actions on the environment and take steps towards a more sustainable future. It is a world wide occasion seen on 5th June every year to press for the reasons for natural assurance by around 143 nations. This day has become a global platform for raising awareness and prompting action on pressing environmental issues.
In order to celebrate and bring awareness amongst the students a program was hosted by Mrs Maithrai and students of scouts and guides of our School.
The program bagan with a small prayers song sung by Chinmayi and group. The ceremony was initated by lighting of the lamp by the Headmistress Sr. Shanthi Agnes B S, Sr. Reema B S and the chief guest Mr. Prakash Bhat.
Ashray of 9th Std welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest Praksh Bhat Chief Technical Officer of NRCC Puttur was introduced to the gathering by Mr. Maithrai.
Mr Prakash Bhat threw ample light on conservation of Environment through his inspirational speech which he stressed on. “Action speaks louder than words”.
The program was concluded by a vote of thanks. As token of our love we gifted a flower plant to our chief guest Mr. Prakash Bhat.
