June 11: World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5, 2024, by St. Joseph’s Eng. Med. Higher Primary and St. Joseph's High School at the School's premises in K.R. Nagar. The theme for World Environment Day 2024 was "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience," with the slogan "Our Land, Our Future." The high school students highlighted the theme with inspiring messages and meaningful songs, raising awareness about the importance of protecting nature.
To show their gratitude towards Mother Earth, the headmistress, teachers, and students planted six Shivani saplings on the campus and took great delight in watering them. In a symbolic gesture to emphasize the importance of caring for the planet, the headmistress entrusted six plants to students from classes 2 to 7. This hands-on activity aimed to instil in the students the importance of caring for Mother Earth and securing the future of our nation.
The day was filled with zeal and enthusiasm, making our students more aware of the richness and value of our planet. These activities not only educated the students but also empowered them to take proactive steps in protecting and preserving the environment for future generations.
