Nov 07: Today, the fire safety team visited Shishu Vihar Higher Primary School and Bethany High School in Chittapur to conduct an important safety training session. They started by explaining the different types of fire extinguishers and how to use them in emergencies. The team also introduced the four main classes of fire - A, B, C and D and explained which type of extinguisher should be used for each class.

The team also demonstrated the right way to use a fire extinguisher using the "PASS" method: Pull the pin, Aim the nozzle, Squeeze the handle, and Sweep the nozzle from side to side. We learned how to approach fire safely, ensuring that we always have an escape route and never turn our backs on fire.

After the demonstration, each student had the opportunity to practice the use of fire extinguisher in a controlled environment. It was both fun and educative, and it gave us the confidence to act quickly and effectively if we ever face a fire emergency.

The fire extinguisher team also reminded us of the importance of regular fire drills, keeping fire exits clear and reporting any potential hazards around the school. By the end of the session, we all felt better prepared and more aware of how to respond to a fire emergency.
