Nov 06: It is heartwarming to know that Mr. David, a former student of Loyola High School, Gadenahally, Hassan, and the Director of Vibhinna India Foundation, has generously donated to help build a much-needed toilet block for the students at Loyola Primary and High School, Gadenahally.
Mother of Mercy Convent, Gadenahally, is proud to have set up schools that provide quality education in both English and the local language to rural students in Gadenahally and nearby villages. This year marks the 75th Anniversary of Bethany’s mission, started by our founder, Servant of God Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas. On this special occasion, Mr. David’s donation is a touching way of showing gratitude to his Alma Mater, highlighting the positive impact of the BES values on him and other students over the years.
During one of his visits, Mr. David learned about the need for better toilet facilities for students from Sr. Shalini, the current headmistress. He kindly decided to donate Rs. 10 lakh for the project, in collaboration with the BES management. The new toilet block was opened on October 1, 2024, by Mr. David, with the community, staff, and Rev. Fr. Moses, the parish priest, present for the ceremony. The students are very grateful for this thoughtful gesture, and it serves as an inspiration for others to support the school’s development projects.
