Jan 23: The Bethany Educational Society's (BES) Post Platinum Jubilee Convention, organized by the Eastern Province, took place at Navintha, Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Lucknow from November 8–10, 2024. With 127 participants, the event underscored BES’s unwavering commitment to value-based education. The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Rt Rev. Dr Gerald John Mathias and Guest of Honour Shri Lalit Kumar Kapil, RO - CBSE Prayagraj, who were joined by Sisters and teachers in celebrating this significant gathering. Sr Dr Jessy Maria and Sr Dr Mariette emphasized the pressing need to implement BES’s core priorities in classrooms, while Sr Anita Moras, Education Coordinator, and Sr Christine Noronha, along with regional principals, ensured the event's success.

A defining aspect of the convention was the resourceful contributions of Sr Dr Mariette, who revisited the enduring legacy of Fr RFC Mascarenhas and the remarkable journey of Bethany in the field of education. Through impactful sessions on topics like "RFC: A Champion of Education," "BES Core Values," and "Education for Peace and Harmony," educators reflected on their vital role in fostering a holistic approach to student development. These discussions encouraged a deeper understanding of BES’s mission, including its emphasis on Justice, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, Peace, Harmony, and care for the environment, all of which are integral to the post-Platinum Jubilee priorities.

The convention inspired creative thinking and collaboration among the teachers, who shared their experiences and contributed to enhancing the quality of holistic education aligned with BES’s Vision and Mission. The enthusiastic participation of educators was a hallmark of the event, as they collectively engaged in discussions about the core values and priorities. As the convention concluded, participants left with a renewed sense of purpose, committed to embodying the values of BES and ensuring that their students are equipped for a compassionate and just world, reflecting the Founder’s passion for the education of girls and a future of excellence.
