Nov 02: As directed by, The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Govt of India for the OBSERVANCE OF VIGILANCE WEEK 2017. A debate competition was held on 1st Nov 2017 on the theme “My Vision-Corruption Free India” in Presentation Girls’ Composite P U College Dharwad. It was sponsored by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Dharwad.
The topic given to the students to debate was “WILL INDIA BE A CORRUPTION FREE COUNTRY?”. Total seven teams of two students each participated in the competition. The competition was a great successful one and has really laid a new vision towards the eradication and removal of corruption from the society, even from our country.
At the beginning of the program an Integrity Pledge was taken by all the students and staff of the college. Our beloved principal Sr Prima B S has called everyone present to endeavour to promote Integrity and to have transparency and accountability in public life. Everybody obliged to her with zeal and enthusiasm.
There was a panel of three Judges; they tabulated the marks based on different criterias like, on the basis of Main Points / Presentation skills / Body language and Rebuttal speech (arguments) etc
To encourage and to motivate the students POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED, DHARWAD gave Cash Prizes to the winners.
