June 16: St Theresa’s School, Bendur held an Environment awareness week programme from 5th to 10th June 2023 as part of the World Environment day program.
On the first day, June 5, 2023, Environmental application students of class 10th held a special assembly on the topic "World Environment Day".
The staff and students pledged to protect and nurture the environment by saving energy, water, reducing the use of disposable plastics, promoting the usage of reusable materials.
School cabinet member Saksham held a quiz relating to environment awareness for students of classes I to X.
As part of the awareness programme, Eco Club members cleaned the school garden and planted saplings.
On Wednesday, 7 June 2023, Rangoli competition was conducted on the topic "Save our planet earth" for the students of class VI.
On Friday, 9 June 2023 a skit was presented by environmental application students of class IX to promote awareness to save environment. Drawing competition was also conducted for Primary students of classes I to V on the topic 'Save Environment'.
The main goal of these activities was to instill a clean and green consciousness among the students and motivate the public to participate in environment protection and improvement.
The whole week was meaningfully celebrated.
